Learn more about the chiropratic profession

Professionalism

Chiropractic is the third largest health-care profession in North America, after general medicine and dentistry. In Italy, it has been recognized by legislators as a primary health profession since 2008.

To prevent the abuse of the chiropractic profession by unqualified persons, chiropractic is licensed and regulated. Chiropractic can only be practiced by doctors of chiropractic, after they have obtained a specific degree from accredited universities. The education allows a doctor of chiropractic to diagnose disease and health conditions and treat patients.

Dr. Saba-Sayah graduated “cum laude” from Sherman (U.S.A.). She has been licensed both in Canada and the United States and is a member of the Associazione Italian Chiropratici and the World Chiropractic Alliance.

The first visit

The first visit (€285) lasts for over an hour and includes, among other things a thorough assessment of the patient’s condition, patients medical history and physical examination, including all available medical records, with the purpose of excluding any contraindications to chiropractic treatment.

Therapeutic program

After a thorough initial examination and analysis of the required diagnostic rediologic images specific for this technique, Dr. SabaoSayah will determine with precision the angle of correction required. Treatment for vertigo / dizziness is tailored to meet each patients unique condition. For patients travelling long distance, we recommend a stay of three days in Milan, to allow for the first visit, diagnostic imaging and treatment. A treatment plan will be determined by the doctor at this point.

No false illusions

The misalignment of the skull. top cervical vertebra and cervical segment of the spate corrected during the first therapy se Ian. However, the spinal column often returns to the misaligned position it has been in for a long tome For crooked teeth. resistance to correction can be overcome with the application of an orthodontic appliance. A cervical spine out of alignment can be corrected with a series of AO, or Atlas Orthogonal treatments.

AO uses a sound wave instrument to reposition the atlas, the first bore at the top of the spine. The treatment is entirely painless. The A.O. chiropractic specialist can also use other chiropractic techniques. when necessary, to assist the action of the atlas in the correction of the entire column

To see is to know, not to see is to guess

Having graduated from Boston University, Dr. Saba-Sayah attended a course in Bologna established by the American chiropractor Dr. Hans Greissing.

On returning to North America, Dr. Saba-Sayah graduated cum laude in Chiropractic from the Sherman College of Chiropractic in South Carolina, before specializing in the Cox Technique (flexion/distraction) and later in the “Atlas Orthogonal” procedure (a technique that uses a specific instrument installed on a special chiropractic table) at Life University in Atlanta and the Sherman College in Spartanburg.

For your Information

Certainly, any form of diagnostic imaging can help. However, the procedure we adopt requires a special type of X-ray, performed using special media and in specific positions, in order to allow us to make the mathematical calculations required to use the atlas realignment precision instrument.

As these are the only imaging tests that allow the chiropractor to “see” the spine, and therefore make an accurate assessment, our motto is: “Seeing means knowing, not seeing means guessing!” And we, of course, have no intention of guessing when it comes to your health.

After carefully analyzing the patient’s medical history and any clinical and diagnostic imaging, the chiropractor conducts a preliminary examination to identify the symptoms and decide whether the patient is a suitable candidate for this procedure.

Each patient reacts differently. Moreover, the speed and duration of the results will depend on the severity of the pathology and the time of its onset. This light and gentle procedure can be repeated several times. With time, the number of treatments required will reduce, until the patient is stable.

Desirable reactions following the initial attempt to realign the spine, signaling the effectiveness of the treatment, are:
• improvement of symptoms
• drowsiness
• other
The type and intensity of the reactions depend on the pathology and the time of its onset.

Absolutely not. As mentioned above, all the patient feels is the almost imperceptible “touch” of the precision instrument, rested delicately against the neck, level with the top cervical vertebra.

First of all, the total absence of manipulation, twisting or cracking. All the patient feels is the gentle “touch” of the precision instrument, which produces a beneficial “shock wave”.

A degree in chiropractic medicine, an average of 6 years of college education, and a specialty in the upper cervical technique. To this end, atlas chiropractors use a special instrument used on the basis of a series of very precise mathematical calculations.
